Examples are fictional and do not represent customer results. Use only facts you can support.

Start with a clear structure

Use contact details, a short summary, technical skills, experience or projects, and education. Keep headings conventional and the reading order simple. Include links only when the work is yours to share.

A fictional example, not a credential to copy

Example: Built REST endpoints for a personal issue-tracking project using Node.js and PostgreSQL; added integration tests for authentication and ticket updates. This is illustrative. Replace it with your own work, tools and responsibilities.

Evidence instead of invented numbers

Name the problem, your contribution and an outcome you can explain. Do not add percentages, revenue, team sizes or production scale without evidence. A personal project is not paid employment.

Review before exporting

Check dates, links, contact details and whether every skill is defensible in an interview. Inspect the exported PDF and follow the employer's requested format. No template guarantees acceptance by every ATS.

Put the guide into practice

Keep your facts. Review your changes. Prepare the next application.
